Research area(s):

He has worked with patients with primary and co-occurring substance abuse diagnoses and supervised graduate students in clinical and counseling psychology for 30 years in both inpatient and outpatient treatment settings. Currently, he works on several grants related to SBIRT (Screening, Brief Intervention and Referral for Treatment) which involves individual and group interventions for at risk and high risk substance misuse in several treatment settings including inpatient psychiatry, the Emergency Department, Student Health and primary care clinics.
